The 2026 Rally Italia Sardegna went to Oliver Solberg and Elliott Edmondson. It was their third rally win of the season. The event ran from 1 to 4 October and used Alghero as its base, in the province of Sassari.
The rally was the thirteenth round of the World Rally Championship, and it became the season finale after the Rally Saudi Arabia was removed from the 2026 calendar. The round also counted towards the 2026 WRC2 and WRC3 championships.

Sebastien Ogier and Vincent Landais were the defending winners of the rally, driving for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT, which was the defending manufacturers' winner. In WRC2, Roberto Dapra and Luca Guglielmetti were the defending winners, and in WRC3 the title had been held by Matteo Fontana and Alessandro Arnaboldi.
The 2026 event was the twenty-third edition of the rally, and it was the final round on the 2026 World Rally Championship schedule. The manufacturers' title and the world championship were both decided at this round.
